연구 목표
It is impossible for us to explain organ-specific immune privilege with current concept on immunology based on lymphoid immunity. The vision and goal of the Center for Immune Research on Non-lymphoid Organ (CIRNO) is to prove that non-lymphoid organs such as liver, lung and kidney have their own immune system independent of lymphoid immune system.
•We will investigate non-lymphoid organ-specific immune cells, immune modulators, and their functional roles as well as mechanisms of action.
•We will also develop a nano-delivery system, targeting non-lymphoid immune cells or immune modulators, that can be used to control human diseases such as organ-specific cancers or organ-specific chronic inflammatory diseases.
